- A Traveler Recommendation:
Roundwood House is a beautifully restored manor house from late 1600's, nestled on 18 lush acres at the base of the Sleive Bloom Mountains, retaining both it's history and charm. Flat screen televisions are replaced with a library of the classics and an exercise room replaced with walking or hiking trails. The home is well-appointed, the decor suitable to its era and is as welcoming and delightful as the hosts, Paddy & Hannah Flynn together with Hannah's parents Rosemarie & Frank Kennan who provide a relaxed atmosphere where guests can enjoy gourmet meals, fine wines and interesting conversation with their hosts and other guests. Their warmth and Irish hospitality shines through and in no time you are you are dubbed “one of the family”. Self-catering units and private cottages are also available.
