- A Traveler Recommendation:
Podere Salicotto was perfect in every way. It is situated on a hilltop just outside of a charming little Tuscan village. The rooms were great – well decorated, bright, clean, and spacious enough for two people. The brunches each morning are absolutely amazing. The food was local and fresh, and the capuccinos were delicious! The view from Podere Salicotto is just breathtaking. The property also features a nice community kitchen, fantastic common areas, and a wine cellar where you can take wine on the honor system. While we were there we met up with some other travelers and had a wonderful time each evening raiding the wine cellar and catching up on everyone's travels. Overall the property is just gorgeous and the amenities are fantastic. Perhaps the best part of the whole trip was the travel advice and help provided by Silvia. She helped us determine which towns to visit in Tuscany, where best to eat, and when to go. She also helped us track down our luggage that was lost for 5 days! We never could have done it without her. We would not even consider staying anywhere else on our return visits.
