We loved this B&B! It was charming, comfortable and welcoming! Robert is an amazing host, concerned for our every need, and delightful besides. I am sorry we hadn’t planned to stay here for more of our visit--if you are choosing between this B&B and another place, stay HERE. Robert’s suggestions of where to dine, what to see, and where to go were exactly right. His sense of humor and interest in our welfare made this more than just a place to lay our heads and eat breakfast. It was the most enjoyable part of our vacation.

Our family of 4 recently had an outstanding stay with Robert and Stuart at the Moulin Neuf. Everything about our visit was perfect. Our hosts could not have been more charming and helpful, the location was idyllic, the breakfasts delicious, and the recommended local restaurants fabulous. Our two daughters loved the ducks, the dog and the cats and would have been delighted if we had never left the property. We can’t wait to go back.

Getting there was half the fun - or challenge! We stopped at the tourist information in Ste Alvere and information officer did not know how to get to Paunat. Eventually we found Paunat and an elderly man on the side of the road told us exactly where Moulin Neuf was - in animated French. We found it and it is truly a delightful property. Stuart welcomed us and had dinner reservations arranged in Tremolat before we knew it. We were there before the season really begins and on this slightly chilly day, the fire in the living room was both warming and welcoming. The rooms are wonderful and the fire was on each morning as we came down to a wonderful breakfast of fresh croissants, rolls, yogurt, fresh fruit and coffee that fed the eyes and nourished the body. Robert, who was in town on our arrival, proved to be an incredible host - recommending places to eat, places to visit and things to do. To come back at 16:00h each day and relax in front of the fireplace in the living room with a hot cup of tea before heading out for dinner made our stay incredible. There are places that make you want to return soon. The Dordogne, the Moulin Neuf and Robert and Stuart did just that!

On a recent vacation in South Western France my 12 year old daughter, my husband and I all agree that our favorite place to stay was Le Moulin Neuf. We were made to feel very much at home in this beautiful B & B. Our hosts, Robert and Stuart, ensured that we stayed cozy in the guest house with a fire constantly burning and help-yourself tea and coffee. Each morning we awoke to a wonderful continental breakfast and were sent on our way with lots of ideas from Robert about interesting things to do and places to visit. Our rooms were very pretty, impeccably clean and well stocked daily with fresh towels. We were generally attended to exceptionally well, especially for the very reasonable rate we were charged. I highly recommend Le Moulin Neuf!

We spent 3 lovely days at this B&B and enjoyed it very much. The hosts are as nice as the setting, made us feel right at home, and were great about suggesting things to do, and booking restaurants. The property is beautiful, the rooms are nicely appointed. Not big, but big enough, and very comfortable. Breakfasts were delicious. Especially for the price, it’s a great place to stay. Probably the only negative was that our beds were a tad short, though that didn’t stop us from sleeping very well there! Highly recommended.
