Situated in the Ribeira, the city's oldest neighborhood, A Grade is a very typical Portuguese restaurant. Small, simple, honest, with no pretention and family owned. The husband serves, the wife Elena cooks and the children sometime help. The food is delicious, homemade and Elena always chooses her ingredients fresh and of good quality. The husband Ferreira is a wine expert and will surprise you with a great bottle everytime.From grilled fish to delicious roasted meats, unbelievably tender octopus, homemade appetizers, fresh fruits, great deserts, the best coffee I have ever had. It is full of locals which is a good sign, and the experience is unique.
