"E lucevan le stelle" Wine bar & Bistro is a stilish wine bar with panoramic view over the Val ’Orcia, the ideal place for a tasting of the best Tuscan wines . ’E lucevan le stelle’ wine bar-bistrot and La Locanda di San Francesco are run by a winemaker family and situated in the same building that faces onto Piazza San Francesco. Come through the two magnificent doors onto an extensive terrace and enjoy the Tuscan sun from early morning or admire unforgettable sunsets over the Val D’Orcia. Most of the wines on offer in the elegant wine bar are from Tuscany’s best estates and they are complemented by a knowing selection of Italian and French wines. They are available by the glass or bottle. To go with them, enjoy the best of Tuscany’s artisan cheeses and salumi, or other simple dishes usually available at any time of the day. You will also find a showcase of olive oil, honey, pasta and other hand-made Tuscan food on sale. This spectacular room, whose stone walls reveal traces of ancient windows and 14th century arches, is the perfect setting for periodic art exhibitions and live jazz.
