Cafe Kor is a gem of a find on the Pest side of the Danube. We thought this was our discovery but sadly there were two woman from Southern California dining at the same time. Oh well, we can still take credit for spreading the word. The goose liver rivaled any I have eaten anywhere in France. In fact, I have been told that many of the goose livers served in France come from Hungarian Geese. Wherever the goose came from it spoke French to me. The duck was perfect, delicious but not gamy and a steal at about $14. The "Gulácsi" desert, a local specialty was similarly tasty. The service was friendly, not intrusive, and English was not a problem. My only regret was not being able to sample more of the menu. The restaurant is also open for breakfast.
Monday - Saturday; open 10-12 for breakfast and 12-10pm on for lunch and dinner.
