Arizona

When one thinks of Arizona the first thoughts are usually of extremely hot desert climates.  At least its a ’dry heat’. While much of the state, particularly the southern  and south central regions including Phoenix, Sedona, Tucson and Yuma are quite hot in the summer the northern climes of the Grand Canyon and the mountains of central Flagstaff can cool off considerably.The Snowbirds from the north are often attracted to the warmth of the south while the skiers four hours away are schussing in the mountains in and around Flagstaff.

Warm weather and skiing are not the only reasons for visiting Arizona. The beauty of the Grand Canyon canyon cannot be described, rather, one must experience its enormity first hand to truly appreciate its magnificence. Whether peering down into the abyss or floating the rapids of the Colorado River in the bowls of the canyontry to allow as many days as possible for exploration. While in Northern Arizonia not too far from the canyon spend some time exploring the wonderful parks such as the Painted Desert, the Petrified Forest and the Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park.

Central Arizona is no less beautiful. Experience the beauty of  the spiritual red rocks of Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon that attract visitors from around the world. Step back into  the wild west with visits to the towns of Prescott and Jerome. The vibrant metropolis of Phoenix offers everything expected of a world class city; museums, universities, professional sports, fine dining and exciting nightlife.

Southern Arizona and the Sonoran Desert is anchored by the wonderful city of Tuscon but the beauty of the desert, the Saguaro National Park, the Kartchner Caverns State Park  and the old west town of Tombstone will beckon.
