Overview:


The region of Trøndelag is located in the central part of Norway and covers two counties, Nord-Trøndelag and Sør-Trøndelag. The low population and low density of people is similar to that of Northern Norway. The region is well-known for fishing as well as many other aquatic sports since some body of water, be it ocean, lake or stream, is always close by. The largest river in Nord-Trøndelag, the Namsen, is regarded as one of the best salmon river in all of Europe.
