Germany
Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
Overview:
The Mecklenburg-Vorpommern region is located in the northwest corner of the country and is one of the least densely populated regions of Germany. The Gothic red brick architecture, particularly as seen in the churches, is the style of the region. Wismar and Stralsund have been listed as UNESCO World Heritage sites and offer excellent examples of red brick buildings.
The Mecklenburg Lake District also known as "the land of 1000 lakes" and as such draws a lot of tourists coming to enjoy the aquatic activities. Also, located in this region is Müritz National Park, home to the largest lake in Germany, Lake Muritz.
Our list of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Hotels includes wonderful boutique hotels, inns and castle hotels.
