Karen's Review Of This Property:
The Belle de Jour Inn, a complex of farm cottages built in 1873, has a rural, hillside setting just to the north of historic Healdsburg. The impeccably maintained complex has five cottages with guestrooms plus a single-story farmhouse, the home of Brenda and Tom, who run their small inn with great warmth and a professional eye to detail. The Caretaker’s Suite has French doors opening onto a trellised deck and a pine four-poster, king-size canopy bed topped with Battenberg lace. The Terrace Room is charming, with a fireplace and a whirlpool tub for two, overlooking the terrace and valley. The Morning Hill Room is cozy with a fireplace and a shuttered window seat. The Atelier, with sitting room, is large and lovely. The Carriage House accommodates a magnificent deluxe, second-floor country suite with vaulted ceilings, plank-wood floors, antique pine furniture, fireplace, and a whirlpool tub for two in a large alcove—very romantic. All rooms have gas fireplaces, refrigerators, CD players, robes, and hairdryers—several have DVD players and direct satellite TV. A full country breakfast is served in the breakfast room.
