Karen's Review Of This Property:
At Sun Mountain Lodge, tranquility, activity, and service come together in a winning combination. Graciously residing on 3,000 mountainous acres, this handsome hotel captures stirring views of Gardner Mountain and the majestic Cascades. Guest accommodations occupy three unique buildings. In the main lodge, rooms are decorated in a rustically elegant style to complement the lodge itself, with a charming mix of rough-hewn wood, rock, plush carpet, and custom light fixtures in warm tones of brown, tan, and gold. Boardwalks, wood pillars, and massive stonework make the Gardner building an imposing one. Rooms here offer gas fireplaces, a separate sitting area, beautiful bathrooms, and a stereo system. In the neighboring Mt. Robinson building, rooms are equipped with jetted tubs and finished in black lacquered wood, iron, and willow. The formal dining room retains its original architectural charm. Lighter fare can be had in the adjacent Wolf Creek Bar and Grill. From the outdoor swimming pools and hot tubs, you feel as though you could touch the mountains. Over 100 miles of neighboring trails will entice you to hike, bike, fish, horseride, or ski. Whether you decide to stay close to the grounds or explore the neighboring wilderness, Sun Mountain Lodge will rejuvenate.
