Karen's Review Of This Property:
What really distinguishes the contemporary Inn at Harbor Steps from other hotels in the downtown area is its position near Elliott Bay, at the base of a 25-story luxury residential high-rise. You’ll feel like a local, too, as you find yourself sharing elevators, saunas, and indoor Jacuzzi and resistance pools with these residents, or when wandering out into the wonderfully urban, courtyard garden sequestered between residential towers. Like a posh apartment and a quality hotel all in one, this is an artful modern space adjacent to Seattle’s Harbor Steps. Public areas, very spacious and handsomely decorated, are arranged on two floors. Four types of guestrooms are available. The newer ones, with partial views of the water from small balconies, overlook the steps and another high-end residential apartment building. The elevator system to get to these rooms takes some getting used to, however. All rooms have high ceilings and make wonderful use of natural light. Many offer gas fireplaces and roomy bathrooms artistically designed. A Four Sisters Inn, in the afternoons, complimentary tea, wine, cheese, and sweets are offered in the solarium-like library off the garden. A full breakfast is served in the attractive adjoining dining room. Parking is available in the multi-level garage—be sure to drop off your bags first.
