Karen's Review Of This Property:
Domaine Madeleine was the first inn to open on this particular stretch of bluffside Port Angeles. Highlighted by Sunset Magazine, which rated it one of the 20 best seaside getaways in the Northwest, it offers breathtaking views, exquisite gardens, and excellent service. Breakfasts, served at a formal dining table overlooking the water and prepared by excellent resident chefs, are very impressive. Built in 1946 with low ceilings and hardwood floors, the home was remodeled in the early ’80s. Furniture and decor lend a feeling of home and bedrooms are supplied with extras that anticipate your every need including designer robes and French perfumes. Guests of The Renoir Suite enjoy use of a large, adjacent Oriental-themed living room with a huge 14-foot basalt fireplace and enormous windows that frame the surrounding views. The room is filled with the owner’s personal treasures, including a fine Chinese corner chest. The Ming Suite occupies the entire second floor and has a large, private balcony. For more privacy, the Cottage has its own mini-kitchen, sitting area, and private garden in sight of the Olympic mountain range. Enjoy the unique gardens: a woodland garden, a rose garden, and the Monet garden.
