Karen's Review Of This Property:
The inn’s publicity material urges you to “just think of it as a cruise ship in port for a few days” and the Fox Creek Inn is indeed a self-contained, secluded little world. Such is its tradition—it was once the “getaway” home of William Barstow, one of Thomas Edison’s collaborators, who came here with his family to get away from the bustle of urban life. The common areas are warm and friendly: my favorite is the den with its large windows and stone fireplace. The largest bedroom would be my first choice: it’s 23 by 18 feet in size with five windows on one side, a fireplace, a dressing room with a large closet, and a ceiling fan. The bathroom has a two-person Jacuzzi, a two-person shower, a two-sink vanity, and a fireplace. Room 4 was another of my favorites with its two green wingback chairs, hunter-green walls with cream trim, and a floral comforter in greens and pinks. These same colors are echoed in the floral wallpaper. Some of the bedrooms in this inn are located on the first floor for those who do not want to climb stairs. You can choose the options of bed and breakfast or bed, breakfast, and dinner.
