Karen's Review Of This Property:
Half Moon Bay is a delightful little beachside town just 45 minutes south of San Francisco, packed with interesting shops, galleries, and restaurants. One of the most attractive of several lovely Victorians along Main Street is the 1890s Old Thyme Inn, bordered by a white picket fence and named for the herb found in the inn’s fragrant cottage garden. The seven bedrooms also take their names from the garden: Mint is decorated in shades of restful green, its queen four-poster decked with crisp white linens before a fireplace. For the most spacious of quarters, opt for the Garden Room, which has a queen four-poster bed, a Jacuzzi tub for two tucked into a corner of the room, and its own private garden entrance. Rick and Kathy really focus on a full breakfast served at the large round table in the parlor/dining area. The parlor displays a great many of Kathy's paintings and is the center of activity at the inn though on sunny evenings guest often enjoy wine and hors d’oeuvres on the patio. The beach is six blocks away and it’s an easy stroll to places to eat that range from the adjacent Cetrella restaurant with its good food and jazz music to an excellent pizza parlor. San Francisco and the many nearby beaches are huge attractions.
