Karen's Review Of This Property:

In 1858 Robert Heysham Sayre moved his family into this large Gothic Revival mansion in what has become the Fountain Hill National Historic District. His grand house is now a handsome inn where you can happily stay while enjoying the many activities: music educational institutions—for which Bethlehem is noted. Sweeping lawns and landscaped grounds surround this inn, giving it its own parklike setting. The Sayre Mansion reflects the architecture of this period with high ceilings, large rooms, and lots of space. Guestrooms, all with private bath, have been updated to include wireless access, flat screen TV, and voice mail. The grandest of the bedrooms are those of the Sayres, furnished with pieces appropriate for the time and the lifestyle that the family must have lived there. Room 30, on top of it all in the conservatory, is a spacious, grand, and very unique experience. Third-floor bedrooms are under the eaves, which create some very special spaces for you to enjoy. A particular treat at this inn is to be had in the Wine Cellar where you can choose a wine from those on display and then taste it with a selection of artisan cheeses. The Sayre Mansion is an especially fine inn in which to have a wedding, family reunion, conference, or some function where the luxury of space is important.
