Mount Hood Hamlet Bed & Breakfast
A Karen Brown Recommended Hotel / Inn
Owners: Diane & Paul Romans |

Karen's Review Of This Property:
Paul Romans grew up on the very spot the Mount Hood Hamlet Bed & Breakfast occupies. In those days however he was a boy milking cows! Eighteenth-century New England Colonial elegance in a pastoral setting describes this delightful new home in the beautiful Hood River Valley, with its unsurpassed views of Mount Hood. Furnishings often complement the period architecture, but there are contemporary touches as well. A “see-through” wood-burning fireplace separates the cozy library from a large living room with lots of windows and good books. Original art and old maps adorn the walls, including many watercolors of English landscapes. Oriental carpets cover floors. Adjoining the dining room is an inviting “garden room” that opens to an outdoor deck with hot tub. The floors in this room, and in the area immediately surrounding the tub are heated, making wintertime transitions to and fro a gentler experience. Bedrooms are wonderful—even the smallest is spacious and well-appointed, with excellent lighting, plush robes, and walk-in closets. Bathrooms are spotless and modern. All rooms have TVs, VCRs, fireplaces and ready access to a selection of movies. From the Jacuzzi tub in the Vista Ridge room, you can see Mount Hood if you keep the bathroom door open.
