Karen's Review Of This Property:
Take this particular spot on the Oregon coast, marry it to the stellar service and hospitality that the innkeepers provide, and you’ve got more than you need. At Channel House, you’d be willing to sleep on a futon and would still come away calling it one of the best places to stay. Many coastal inns lay claim to ocean views—many are prettier—but nothing equals this unique spot for sheer wildness. Created here is the sense that you are as directly in contact with the ocean, as you might be in a lighthouse on an island in the middle of it. This is especially so from your outdoor Jacuzzi tub, poised almost precariously on your own private deck. You just can’t get closer to the Pacific without boarding a ship. The gray-shingled building doesn’t look like anything from the outside; but all the bedrooms, whether a single room or a corner suite, feel hugely dramatic, exposed, invigorating and are newly decorated. Buy a bottle of wine in the lobby downstairs, then light the fire and jump into that balcony tub. Not just an ocean view—it’s an adventure. Channel House is one of our favorites, even compared to much more luxurious alternatives. It’s genuine, natural, unaffected, romantic, and very private. Four Sisters Inn.
