A Karen Brown Recommended Hotel / Inn
Owners: Deana & Don Politis |

Karen's Review Of This Property:
Named for its original owners, not for Shakespeare’s character, the Romeo Inn is a large and gracious retreat, built in the Cape Cod style in the 1930s and set on a half-acre of land in a quiet residential neighborhood. All four guestrooms and two luxurious suites offer king-sized beds, private baths, telephones, data ports, and wireless internet. Grab a plushy towel and head out to the heated swimming pool or hot tub. Lie in the hammock in a quiet corner of the terraced garden. Sneak out to the kitchen for a cookie or enjoy the handsome library nook well-stocked with good reading. Deana and Don Politis anticipate guests’ every desire in this thoroughly graceful, contemporary, and spacious setting. Upstairs, the exquisitely English-country Bristol and Coventry rooms are cheerful and spotless, each offering a writing desk, window seat, and built-in bookshelves. Downstairs, the Canterbury and Windsor rooms are especially grand with richly colored walls and lovely fabrics. The former boasts a floor-to-ceiling brick fireplace. The Cambridge Suite provides overstuffed chairs in front of a tiled fireplace and French doors onto a private patio. Detached from the inn and completely self-sufficient, the Stratford Suite sits high above the street, with views of the Cascades, the valley, and the inn’s garden.
