Karen's Review Of This Property:
The Beekman Arms is truly a village inn and one from which you can walk to Rhinebeck’s many antique stores, shops, and restaurants. Its 67 rooms are located in the original, pre-Revolutionary building and in seven guesthouses designed in the American Carpenter Gothic style of architecture at the Delamater Inn. The Beekman Arms is old and with its beams, low ceilings, great paneling, and wide floorboards is reminiscent of an old tavern, which it has and which contains, in addition to a dining room, a great bar area with a long polished counter and many stools where you can eat or have a drink. Bedrooms in the Arms are traditionally furnished and you cannot escape the feeling that you are in an ancient building. Delamater House, originally designed by one of America’s first architects, functions as a conference center as well as a bed and breakfast facility. Its guestrooms are appointed with reproduction furniture, gas fireplaces, desk areas, and data ports. Bathrooms have showers and tubs, and though not large, provide the traveler with all that’s needed. A Continental breakfast is served in the garden room. Rhinebeck is at the heart of many attractions in the Hudson River Valley, appealing to those interested in history, antiques, and galleries.
