Asa Ransom House Sketch

Karen's Review Of This Property:

Clarence is a great base for visiting Niagara Falls, attending the theater, antiquing, or exploring the area, and the Asa Ransom House is the perfect place to stay in Clarence. This full-service inn serves dinner to its guests six nights a week in two dining rooms and the Snug, the inn’s pub. On Friday and Saturday the inn offers a modified American plan, which includes dinner in the room rate. There is great attention to detail here in every aspect of the inn’s operation and guests’ needs and comfort are the owners’ primary concerns. The ten bedrooms, all but one with working fireplaces, are furnished with antiques and reproductions and are exceptionally comfortable in every detail. My favorite was decorated in blue and white with a canopy bed and coordinated fabrics on the upholstered chairs where you can sit and read that good book you brought to finish before turning in for the night. Each room has a hidden TV, radio, telephone, modem, and its own controls for heat and air conditioning. Many of the bedrooms also have their own porches or balconies—great to sit on but especially wonderful for the fresh air that you’ll enjoy. The inn also has a spectacular gift shop packed with lots of goodies that you can take home as a remembrance of your stay.
