Normandy Inn Sketch

Karen's Review Of This Property:

Romance is in the air when you drive up to a Victorian inn after dark and lights glow softly through the windows, spilling shadows onto a wide front porch with wicker furniture. The Normandy Inn has very traditional Victorian furniture and several sitting areas and the large front hall seems especially welcoming. There’s a closed-in porch with a gas pot-bellied stove, a selection of books, and early-morning coffee. On the second and third floors the bedrooms continue the Victorian theme, with flowered wallpaper and touches of Victoriana everywhere. One has a queen bed with imposing Victorian headboard and a marble-topped suite of bureaus and bedside tables, while the queen-bedded suite one floor up has a separate sitting room with fireplace, sofa, and chairs. The inn serves a wonderful full breakfast. The Normandy is just half a block from the ocean, so there’s plenty of refreshing salt air. Spring Lake is one of those old shore towns with a boardwalk, wide streets, and houses that tell tales of families growing up by the ocean. Grab a bike and get the benefit of both exercise and the charm of this seaside village. This would make a nice stop away from the cities to the north on an itinerary down the coast.
