Inn at Stockbridge Sketch

Karen's Review Of This Property:

The Inn at Stockbridge is a large Georgian-style building, constructed in 1906, situated down a driveway winding through a 12-acre estate. You arrive at a columned porch and on the other side of the front door is a very large, welcoming hall flanked by the dining room on one side and the gracious living room on the other. The living room, where wine is served in the afternoon, is comfortably furnished and reading by the fire here is a real pleasure. The inn’s guestrooms are in the main house, the cottage house, and the recently built barn. Always a favorite, Blagdon, the original master bedroom, decorated in soft shades of yellow, has a spacious sitting area in front of the fireplace and a lovely four-poster canopy king bed. The four spacious deluxe barn suites—Shakespeare, Wharton, Rockwell, and Shaker—all enjoy gas fireplaces, whirlpool tubs, and private decks, and each is decorated appropriately for its name. The inn prides itself on its breakfasts, formal affairs by candlelight, and Len loves to share his breakfast recipes with guests. The inn is close to so many things to do that you’ll have trouble deciding between the antiquing, the music festivals, the Norman Rockwell Museum, and a variety of sports.
