The Inn at Richmond Sketch

Karen's Review Of This Property:

The Inn at Richmond is set in the countryside just to the west of Lenox and Tanglewood in 27 lovely acres of gardens, lawns, and fields with cottages and barns (and a wonderful “allee” of maples leading to the barn). Staying here is like being a guest on a sophisticated farm, with horses grazing in paddocks surrounded by white fences, which contrast sharply with the bright-green grass. A new owner, Carl Dunham is making every effort to share his passion for the business and home and strives to make your stay enjoyable. Each queen or king bedroom is air-conditioned and has a private bathroom, telephone, and cable TV. The Chanticleer Suite, in colors of yellow, cranberry, and hunter green, has a cherry pencil-post queen bed. The Federal Suite has a mahogany king four-poster bed, fireplace, bath with shower and claw-foot tub, and a sitting room with a sofa bed and cable TV/VCR. The cottages are special, with their own entrances and private decks, fireplaces, and whirlpool tubs. I’d stay in one of these if I could linger for more than one night—a necessity if you are going to be able to enjoy all that there is to do. Breakfasts are delectable—I enjoyed a medley of fresh fruits, cheese, a smoked-salmon frittata with asparagus, potatoes, onions, and dill, and buckets of great coffee.
