Karen's Review Of This Property:

The owners of the Thorncroft Inn have devoted 27 years to caring for guests here and have created an environment and a service level that are hard to beat. However, rather than resting on their laurels, they have continued to refine their service and to create new ways to make the guest experience even better. Thought has been given to every detail in the guestrooms, which are wonderful. The twelve rooms and one suite are in two restored buildings furnished with antiques and there’s also a separate cottage. Ten of the bedrooms have wood-burning fireplaces and canopied beds. I stayed in a second-floor room that provided me with every comfort in the world, including turn-down service in the evening and coffee and the paper outside my door in the morning. In the inn itself there are family-type common rooms and two dining areas for breakfast and afternoon tea. On the morning I was there, the breakfast of quiche and an array of fresh fruits was so well presented and so colorful that it reminded me of a Gauguin painting. There are lovely paths through the woods and I felt that somehow they too had been designed to add to my relaxation.

Directions: Take the Steamship Authority ferry from Woods Hole. Turn right at the first stop sign and next right onto Main Street. The inn is 1 mile along on the left.
