Hob Knob Inn Sketch

Karen's Review Of This Property:

Take an interesting Greek Revival home within walking distance of everything in town; add major refurbishments; mix traditional decor with modern; hire an artist to faux paint; plan cozy common rooms, a living room with views of the garden, and lovely dining rooms; throw in a fitness center and a conference facility; add an eclectic collection of art—and you have created a fabulous sanctuary on Martha’s Vineyard: the Hob Knob Inn. Of course, the guestrooms provide every amenity you could possibly wish for. One of my favorite rooms is tucked up under the eaves with a painted four-poster bed, painted bedside tables and bureau, and chairs with English chintz fabrics. Enjoy a wonderful breakfast, afternoon tea with freshly baked goodies, and a frosty pitcher of lemonade on the beautiful wraparound porch, and then, if you’ve caught that bass on the inn’s charter boat, the kitchen will grill it for you and friends at a private dinner party. The inn’s staff suggest activities to keep you busy—fishing, walking the beaches, visiting galleries, kayaking—or will direct you to a chair by the fire in the living room.
