Karen's Review Of This Property:
The Channel Road Inn dates back to 1910 when Thomas McCall built an elaborate wood-shingled home for his large family. A third story was later added, giving plenty of space for the 14 guestrooms it now offers. The house has an interesting location: just on the fringe of Pacific Palisades yet on a busy street that leads through a somewhat eclectic neighborhood to the wonderful playground of a beach. The downstairs living room, library and dining areas of the inn are sedately decorated, beautifully in keeping with the style of the home. The guestrooms, tucked throughout the house, are all individually decorated and each has its own delightful personality. My favorite room was number 1, one of the less expensive rooms but delightful with a fresh white-and-blue color scheme and sharing a large, quiet rooftop terrace with the adjacent room 5. When making reservations, keep in mind that the rooms vary in size and decide whether you want a patio, soaking tub, or the relative quiet of an inside-facing room. A ground-floor handicap room has a children's sleeping alcove. Bikes are available for excursions along the strand. Recover from your exertions with a soak in the hot tub. A Four Sister’s Inn.
