Karen's Review Of This Property:

Dupont Circle is a great area of Washington to stay in—it’s got that old-neighborhood feeling and near a number of excellent restaurants. This is also a great part of Washington for walking, with art galleries and embassies galore close by. The Dupont at The Circle is an inn (formerly two side-by-side Victorian townhouses) with an eclectic atmosphere; for example, an antique cherry corner cabinet and traditional long mahogany dining table are surrounded by contemporary art. While the Cuban Room in which I stayed was small, it had a desk and a good chair, the queen bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom had a wonderful shower/Jacuzzi tub (a feature in four of the rooms). Other rooms are larger. The Canopy Room has a four-poster bed, a sunny eastern exposure, and a good reading chair in the stained glass bay window, while the Lincoln Room has the same furniture as the room of that name at the White House. The English Basement is a studio apartment with a kitchen nook and a private entrance. The Plum Suite is luxurious (takes up an entire floor), with a chaise lounge, large desk, entertainment center, spacious marble bathroom with Jacuzzi, and a wood burning fireplace. There’s a patio out front where you can sit and watch the passersby.
