Karen's Review Of This Property:
To stay at Manor House is to visit a grand home built a century ago and as you approach the front door along the winding driveway, it’s somehow easy to imagine that earlier life. When you walk through the door into the large hallway from which rises a grand staircase, you’re sure that you are about to experience a romantic retreat. As the surroundings begin to come into focus, you’re aware of incredible architectural details and then you notice the exquisite Tiffany stained-glass windows in the dining room and living room. I stopped, I stared, and I thought how wonderful it was to be a guest in this home. The comfortable guestrooms are all furnished with period antiques. I stayed in the room that was originally the master bedroom—its sitting area in front of the fireplace would have been a good place to linger longer than time permitted. Some rooms have fireplaces, some have private balconies, some have oversized Jacuzzis or soaking tubs. From the many windows, views encompass lawns, gardens, and countryside. When I arrived I was welcomed by the smell of baking bread, an enticing prelude to the delicious breakfast which includes pure local maple syrup.
