Homestead Inn–Thomas Henkelmann Sketch

Karen's Review Of This Property:

Only a few inns anywhere in the world can begin to approach the level of accommodation and service offered by the Homestead Inn. Proprietors Thomas Henkelmann, a world-class, European-trained chef, and his wife Theresa, a truly talented designer, present the best of tradition and contemporary style. From the moment the valet opens your door, to the welcoming greeting you receive as you enter the small and charming lobby, the magical experience of your visit to the Homestead begins. The bedrooms have been ingeniously designed in the best of traditional decor with touches of spirit and whimsy that can only make you laugh and the colors used are bold and bright. Be prepared for interesting lamps, wall sconces, and artwork carefully selected to be part of the integrated scheme; be prepared for bathrooms with heated tile floors, for brilliantly colored wall tile, for interesting accessories, and for top-of-the-line amenities. The restaurant, Thomas Henkelmann, softly lit with candles and its tables set with silver and fine china, provides cuisine of extraordinary caliber. There’s nothing here that has been left to chance—absolutely every detail has been well thought out. This is a real winner: one of those treasures that must be experienced.
