Karen's Review Of This Property:
Frederick Sedgewick Lynch spent money he made during the California gold rush building this Grand Italianate home, the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and the pier beside the broad sweep of white sand that fronts the bay. Meticulously renovated to highlight the home’s architectural features, the inn is decorated with in a crisp, contemporary blue and white palette. King-sized beds with pillow-top mattresses, marble tile bathrooms (some with jetted spa tubs), fireplaces, artwork by local artists, furniture designed in Santa Cruz, and ocean views are the order of the day. For those who need to remain connected to the everyday world, WiFi, iPod player, DVD and TV are available. A second-floor room (without an ocean view) has a private, outdoor jetted hot tub. Under the eaves, two spacious suites (perfect for families) have separate sitting areas and oversized bathrooms. Room 3 with its large bay window overlooking the beach is a special favorite. In early evening, enjoy wine and hors d’oeuvres on the porch or in the sitting room. The beach is one block away; downtown Santa Cruz is a short drive. It’s a perfect location for exploring this lovely section of the Pacific coast. A Four Sisters Inn.
