Karen's Review Of This Property:

What sets Seven Gables Inn apart is that every one of the twenty five guestrooms has an ocean view. The beakfast and sitting rooms also capture wall-wide windows of vistas of Monterey Bay. Such is the draw of the ocean that guests often sit at breakfast studying the bay through binoculars. Bedrooms are found in seven sunny yellow buildings and range in size from Fairlawn—a cute cottage-like room built into the front of the main house to Jewell Cottage a two-bedroom house with its own dining and living room. I was particularly impressed with bedrooms in the Beach House and especially enjoyed Seal Rocks, a medium sized room that opens up to an expanse of window framing the bay and Lovers’ Point. The ornate style of the main house, a grand 1886 Victorian mansion, sets the tone of the décor. Sitting rooms are furnished with ornate French antiques (lots of gilt and inlay) complemented by Oriental rugs, sparkling crystal chandeliers and intricate stained glass windows. The décor throughout is French elegant. Bed-linen and bathroom products are top of the line as is the hot buffet breakfast, served in the Beach House. The only television is found on the sun porch in the main house.
