Karen's Review Of This Property:
As an alternative to a bed and breakfast we recommend the Spindrift Inn, a lovely hotel with a great location overlooking Monterey Bay. Just down the street from the fabulous Monterey Bay Aquarium, its rooms overlook either the bustle of Cannery Row or the serenity of the bay. We stayed in a front room overlooking Cannery Row and were happy to find that the deep-set windows and heavy drapes blocked out the noise of late-night revelers. Guestrooms on the bay side enjoy wonderful water views and corner rooms are spacious and have a lovely window seat. Bedrooms are handsomely decorated with rich European fabrics and all have wood-burning fireplaces, beds topped with down comforters and feather beds, and bathrooms finished in marble and brass. The feeling is European and the amenities are first-class. A continental breakfast of fresh-baked breads and a selection of fruit is served on a silver tray in the room and in the evening a buffet of wine and cheese is set out in the front lobby. There is always someone at the front desk to assist with information or reservations. This is an efficient, attractive, and comfortable hotel with a premier location.
