Karen's Review Of This Property:
Rarely do we promote resorts in our book, but the stunning location of the Seascape Resort prompted us to make an exception. This sprawling complex of seven buildings rests on the bluffs overlooking the Monterey Bay.The beach is a short walk down a private paved path (or take the golf-cart shuttle if you prefer) and there are three pools with outdoor Jacuzzis. Guests can choose from studios, one-bedroom suites, or two-bedroom villas. Suites are decorated and furnished in a beach motif and offer private balconies with ocean (or property) view, fireplace, kitchenette, and TV. Families are easily accommodated in the larger villas. Sanderlings Restaurant in the main building with its spectacular ocean views is named after the scurrying shorebirds. Lots of extras are available (often for rent): firepits at sunset, boogey boards and wetsuits, bikes, beach umbrellas and chairs. Walk for miles along the beach, visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, and golf on one of the nearby courses. Directions: About 9 miles south of Santa Cruz, take the San Andreas Road exit off Hwy 1 and go west to the first stop sign where you turn right and follow Seascape Boulevard to the Ocean and the resort.
