Cross O Th Hill Farm Sketch

Karen's Review Of This Property:

Set back from the road at the end of its tree lined driveway and standing in 100 acres of gardens, orchards and pasture land, Cross O’ Th’ Hill is a large farmhouse, substantially expanded from its humbler origins as a barn dating back to the 15th century. Many of the original architectural features have been preserved; natural pitch pine doors with white ceramic knobs, dark wood floors and massive sash windows that open out from the formal dining room, with its large oak table and waterfall chandelier, and comfortable sitting room with its grand piano and comfortable sofas. The covered verandah with its red and black tiled floor overlooks the sunken croquet lawn. Decorated in pale earthtones, the three generously sized guestrooms are all upstairs, tastefully furnished, with comfortable king-sized beds, crisp white linens; two en suite, the third with its own balcony and private bathroom across the hall. A footpath leads across the fields down to the river Avon and across a footbridge to the center of Stratford itself. A fifteen-minute walk takes you to the world famous Shakespeare Theatre and the bustling restaurants and pubs of Sheep Street, passing the churchyard where the immortal Bard himself was laid to rest.
