A soft pink colorwash brightens the exterior of this spacious onetime-doctors home in the village of Newport. You will love the welcoming, free-and-easy atmosphere that pervades this home where Judith and Michael Cooper extend the warmest of welcomes. It’s the kind of place where you pop your head round the kitchen door with questions. Enjoy before-dinner drinks in either the sitting room or the bar, both snug characterful rooms filled with country antiques. Welsh beef and local organic veg are on the dinner menu along with a tempting selection of starters and desserts (vegetarian dishes are available). During the summer months lunch is available. There are three zip and link twin/king rooms and two queen bedrooms all artfully decorated in a light, airy style and immaculately furnished, with every nook and cranny filled with old family treasures. One guestroom is a family room with a small adjoining bunk-bedroom for children. An absolutely adorable 3 bedroom, two bath, cottage is available for one week lets. Just down the lane you find Newport’s pretty beach and a particularly lovely section of the Welsh coastal path.
