Karen's Review Of This Property:

The delightfully pretty little fishing village of St. Mawes, with its narrow, steep streets and boat-filled harbor strung along the River Fal, sports quite a Mediterranean look. The town’s sheltered position makes it a warm hideaway even in winter and there is no more splendid place to hide away than in the elegant Hotel Tresanton. Terracing up steep steps, this spectacularly located, scrumptious hotel is dashingly modern, with a nautical, Mediterranean flair. Its easy-on-the-eye decor—mainly in white and soft, neutral tones with royal-blue accents—is a perfect balance between classic and modern. Bedrooms all have magnificent sea views and two are spacious family suites for up to five people. Naturally, the restaurant features fish on the menu. Enjoy the hotel’s extensive library or choose a film to watch in the hotel’s cinema. Follow the coastal path past the castle to the 14th-century church at St. Just in Roseland. You can hire many different boats including the hotel’s 48-foot classic yacht. Sightseers have lots of scope, from St. Michael’s Mount to the Tate Gallery at St. Ives, while garden lovers are spoilt for choice: Trelissick, Glendurgan, Trebah, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, and The Eden Project.
