Karen's Review Of This Property:
This lovely Georgian home set in five acres of grounds in a peaceful countryside has the Eden Project just 2 miles up the road. Bedrooms come in two sizes, small and large. Rashleigh is an enormous room, its double bed having an artfully draped bedhead matching the curtains and bedspread; Treffry has a six-foot bed that can be two single beds; and Prideaux has a dainty white four-poster. Each bedroom has an en suite bathroom with spa bath, tea- and coffee-makings, television, telephone, and a huge umbrella for guests to use during their stay. Guests have their own entrance into a lofty hallway where double doors open up to a vast sitting room all decked out in warm cream shades. Beyond lies a sunny conservatory with wicker chairs and little tables set for breakfast, the only meal served. Local dining spots range from formal restaurants to a pub on the beach in a smugglers’ cove. Outside are vast lawns, a summertime swimming pool, a hot tub, and a paved terrace with spectacular views across rolling countryside. Local attractions include the picturesque town of Fowey, the fishing village of Mevagissey, and National Trust properties such as Lanhydrock.
