Karen's Review Of This Property:
Pitlochry developed in the latter half of the 19th century as a Highland health resort and remains today an attractive town of sturdy Victorian houses standing back from the wooded shores of Loch Faskally. Knockendarroch House sits above the rooftops of the town, isolated on its own little hill and surrounding garden. Intertwining flowers decorate the stained-glass windows which filter sunlight onto the staircase leading up to the spacious, high-ceilinged bedrooms—two of the snug attic bedrooms have shower rooms and little balconies overlooking the town’s rooftops. All the rooms are en-suite and are equipped with telephones, TVs, and coffee- and tea-makings. If you have difficulty with stairs, request the ground-floor bedroom. Pitlochry and the surrounding countryside have much to keep visitors occupied for several days. During the summer season the Pitlochry Festival Theatre has a repertoire of plays, which makes it possible for you to see as many as four plays in a three-night stay.
