Karen's Review Of This Property:

The magnificent scenery of the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and Hadrian’s Wall are all within easy driving distance of Hipping Hall. Contemporary decor sits very nicely within this three-hundred-year-old, wisteria-clad house. Enjoy the traditional sitting room, relax in the bar with its red leather armchairs, and dine in the great hall with its soaring beamed ceiling and minstrels gallery. Feast on chef Jason Birkbeck’s modern interpretation of traditional British fare with its origins in Yorkshire, Lancashire, and Cumbria—much of the fresh produce comes from a nearby farm. A conservatory connects the main house to the great hall and in warm weather tables and chairs are set up outside. Upstairs the bedrooms are decked out in pale shades of cream and white. Bathrooms come with power showers; some have deep soaking tubs, all have lots of fluffy white towels and Kew Gardens toiletries. Room 2 has exposed beams, a limestone bathroom and views of the garden. Room 6 is the largest with a separate little sitting area, and its garden-view bathroom has a big whirlpool bath. Three bedrooms are found in the adjacent cottage where we particularly like room 7 with its sitting room downstairs and a spiral staircase leading to the bedroom above. Country walks abound.
