Karen's Review Of This Property:
The Cranley is a delight. A Victorian townhouse hotel on a quiet street in South Kensington, handy for museums, shopping, and exhibition areas; run by an attentive, friendly, and enthusiastic team. Its public areas and bedrooms are tastefully decorated with a superb eye for detail. The elegant drawing room is serene and inviting, with blue walls, long blue drapes, comfortable seating, antique pieces, and a lovely mirror over the fireplace. The spacious, air-conditioned guestrooms, eight with four-posters, many have half testers, all have excellent beds with attractive white spreads, soothing decor, good lighting, working desks, ISDN lines, TV, broadband internet access (wireless in the lobby), and sparkling bathrooms with traditional Victorian fixtures, stocked with plush bathrobes. Three bedrooms have views of London and the penthouse room enjoys its own terrace. Guests are spoiled with special treats such as a welcome drink, fruit basket in the bedroom, afternoon tea (warm scones and clotted cream). Baby-sitting service is available. Nearest Underground: Gloucester Road.
