Karen's Review Of This Property:
A cozy hilltop refuge from winter storms, an outstanding spring, summer, or autumn base for exploring Derbyshire by car or on foot, Dannah Farm is a delightful place for all seasons. The solid Georgian farmhouse is turned over entirely to guests, with delightful cottagey bedrooms and two cozy, tastefully furnished sitting rooms. I particularly liked the suites, two of which have their private entries from the old stableyard. One has a snug sitting room with an open-tread spiral staircase leading to the low-beamed bedroom while the other is a lofty raftered room with a four-poster bed. Bathrooms have double spa baths and large showers, one has a private sauna and another a hot tub. Another part of the old stables is a convivial country-style restaurant where guests enjoy breakfast and by prior arrangement dinner. There is no shortage of good pubs round and about where you can enjoy dinner. Adults and children love the animals—the kune kune pigs are a great attraction and Cracker and Jack, the two English setters, will take you for a walk. The Peak District National Park is on your doorstep full of walks, bike trails, and appealing little villages. The stately homes of Haddon Hall and Chatsworth House are well worth a visit.
