Karen's Review Of This Property:
Hotel Felix, which opened in November 2002, is situated just 1 mile northwest of Cambridge city center in 4-acres of tranquil landscaped garden. Its central core, a beautifully restored and renovated brownstone Victorian mansion, houses the restaurant and café-bar as well as four large, airy bedrooms, replete with old architectural features, fine plasterwork and moldings, tucked away on the first and second floors. All other guestrooms are located in two brand-new, custom-built wings that have been tastefully merged with the old building. All of the rooms embody an opulent simplicity complemented by state-of-the-art technology, internet and email access, satellite movies and hi-fi system. Pastel decorations are offset with vivid splashes of color. Large wooden headboards, contemporary furniture, white Egyptian-cotton sheets and pillowcases, and comfortable duvets complete the picture. Ample modern bathrooms feature earth-tone tiles and sparkling white fixtures. The restaurant and adjacent café-bar with their clubby atmosphere are the focal point of the Felix and on pleasant days service is available on the terrace overlooking the gardens.
