Karen's Review Of This Property:

The Schlosshotel Tenne, just a two-minute walk from the main Zermatt rail terminal, is one of the few hotels in Zermatt to incorporate into its structure a very old wooden chalet. Part of the hotel is of more modern construction but the old and the new have been blended well. The hotel is owned by an old Zermatt family, the Perrens. The Tenne is managed Sonja whose gracious hospitality makes guests feel very welcome. The hotel has a modern, Swiss art-deco theme—walls, pillars, and carvings all have this motif. In the chalet are five junior-suites termed “rustic” rooms because of their carved blond paneling. Each has a separate sitting room and bedroom. Several face the Matterhorn with the Gornegrat cog railway station in between. All the bedrooms have a bathroom with whirlpool tub. The hotel offers a generous buffet breakfast with champagne. There is no restaurant for dinner but guests can walk to a number of restaurants from the hotel. Ask about the great skiing packages.
