Karen's Review Of This Property:

One of Switzerland’s most deluxe hotels and a member of Relais & Châteaux, the Castello del Sole is a complete resort set in such a spectacular estate, with so many things to do, that you will be tempted not to leave the grounds. If you can afford to stay in one of the Pavilion suites, you may never leave your room—both breakfast and dinner can be served in your suite or on your balcony overlooking the estate. If your budget precludes you from selecting the most expensive accommodation, do not worry, for all the rooms are lovely. While the hotel has an à-la-carte dining room, I suggest that you opt for either half board (lots of choices in each dinner course) or full board, which includes a wonderful luncheon buffet either in the garden, or in the restaurant when the weather is inclement. Get your exercise in the indoor/outdoor heated pool or on one of the six tennis courts. Pamper yourself with facials and massages, enjoy the sauna, whirlpool, steam, and weight rooms, or simply stroll in the acres of grounds, perhaps taking the path down to the lake or visiting the hotel’s vineyard. Practice on the putting green and enjoy a game at the adjacent golf course. A shuttle bus takes you into Ascona or you can borrow one of the hotel’s bicycles.
