Karen's Review Of This Property:
Since the turn of the last century Vulpera’s spas have been well known due to the village’s reputation for its fine water. The town’s architecture is mostly contemporary, but the most attractive hotels, such as the lovely Hotel Villa Post, still reflect the nostalgic charm of the Victorian Era. The three-story mansion has a stately, old-world ambiance enhanced by mansard-style roof with perky gables and a cute turret topped by a Swiss flag. Inside there is no hint of the dark furnishings so popular at the time the hotel was built. Instead, there is a bright look with light streaming through large windows and attractive, country-style furniture. Guestroom amenities are the finest quality, light and airy with light wood furniture. Rolf Zollinger has been a Swiss hotelier all of his life and the hotel reflects his professionalism, particularly in the fine restaurant and excellent service. His lovely wife from England, Sally, is also involved in the operation of this family-run hotel, including the responsibility for the stunning gardens where her British flair for flowers is immediately apparent. The most outstanding feature of the Hotel Villa Post—making it stand out from the others in town—is its beautiful grounds. Across from the hotel is a huge park filled with impeccably tended flower beds, fountains, ponds, trees, and pathways. A modern wing is available for small conferences and private parties.
