Karen's Review Of This Property:

The Landgasthof Ruedihus is the perfect Swiss inn, exactly what I’d always hoped to discover, but had almost decided did not exist except in my dreams: a cozy, flower-laden chalet, nestled in a lush meadow, backed by mountains and brimming inside and out with antique charm. This tiny chalet, dating back to 1753, is fashioned entirely of wood, darkened through the years and decorated with both carved and painted peasant designs. Two rows of small bottle-glass windows stretch across the front of the house, highlighted by boxes of red geraniums. Inside, the romance continues—every room is a dream. Appropriate country antiques are used throughout. Most of the bedrooms have genuine antiques, and those that do not, have beautifully crafted reproductions. Some of the bedrooms have a view of the mountains, but because of the authentic nature of the building, some rooms have small windows peeking out from under the deep eaves. However, no matter which bedroom you choose, if you enjoy an old-world ambiance, you will be happy—each one is enchanting. Although there are only ten bedrooms, the inn has its own well-equipped kitchen, and excellent meals are served in the intimate dining room. Note: Reservations are handled by the Waldhotel Doldenhorn—see next listing.
