Karen's Review Of This Property:
The Hotel Olden, a tradition for those in the know who visit Gstaad, is a chalet-style, cream-colored inn embellished with flowers, cheerful green shutters, and window boxes of red geraniums. This charming inn is a favorite of everyone, including the rich and famous who come in winter to ski. After a day on the slopes, guests gather in the bar for après-ski relaxation. In summer, dining outside on the terrace is a popular alternative to the lovely candlelit dining room where the live background music gives a romantic, supper-club atmosphere. In winter, dinner in the intimate cellar restaurant is a must. Bedrooms are found in the main building—delightful, luxuriously appointed traditional rooms—and in the chalet connected to the hotel by a rooftop terrace. With their luxurious, traditional decor, these chalet rooms are a must if you are under 6 feet tall (the height of the ceilings). Guests come back year after year in appreciation of the inviting rooms and outstanding food.
