Karen's Review Of This Property:
The Linajes is (not easily) found down one of the tiny stone streets that crisscross Segovia’s quaint old quarter, the barrio of San Esteban, which sits on a hill above the modern city. The hotel, “The House of the Lineages” with its warm-stone and aged-wood façade, has at its heart an 11th-century palace of the noble Falconi family, whose escutcheon can still be seen over the arched entryway. Inside, there are several rooms that preserve the old-Castile flavor, with dark wood, beamed ceilings, and burnished-tile floors. An alcove off the lobby, decorated with antiques, looks into a glass-enclosed garden patio on one side and over the open terrace at the back, sharing its panoramic views over the city’s monumental skyline. There are lovely views from many of the bedrooms, especially those at the rear of the hotel where it terraces down the hillside to the bar/cafeteria. There's a gymnasium, sauna and Jacuzzi for guests to use.
