Karen's Review Of This Property:
La Posada de Don Mariano is a very nice family-run hotel that complements one of Spain’s most beautiful villages. The two-story, sturdy stone home set on a quiet pedestrian street just off the Plaza Mayor is enriched by black wrought-iron lamps and balconies brimming with colorful pots of flowers. The reception area is small and simple. Probably one of the family members will be at the front desk to greet you since this is a family-owned and -operated hotel. Stairs lead to an upper level where there is a courtyard filled with flowers. About half of the bedrooms have balconies that overlook this pretty garden, while the others have views of the village and surrounding hills. Each of the bedrooms is individual in decor, but quite lovely—the drapes match the fabric on the bedspreads and chairs and even coordinate with the shower curtains. Every detail shows the attention of owners who truly care. Some of the guestrooms are small, but all are appealing—you cannot go wrong with any of them. One favorite is number 110, which has twin iron beds draped in a pretty peach-and-cream-colored fabric. Another winner is room 101, which has a four-poster bed and is decorated in tones of white—even including white flowers on the balcony.
